Tips for Organizing a Local Screening

1. If your community has an Indymedia center, Craiglist, or other independent events calendars, post your event.

2. Send email to local bike and activist groups - this includes environmental groups, critical mass listserves, cycling clubs, commuter groups, civil rights groups, and others.

3. Make flyers (see below) to post in your community bookstore, bike shop, music store, healthy food shops, cafes, etc.. Make an effort to go and hand them out at the farmer's markets, group bike rides, social gatherings, or in the spokes of parked bikes.

4. Support the World Carfree Network's letter-writing campaign to tell Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commistioner Kelly to STOP the arrests of New York City cyclists. Download a letter, and have viewers at the screening sign it. Then send the letter to these address(es). You can also download the Call To Action from WCN, photocopy and distribute it.
